BASECOFFEE in Bamberg

With two small children in tow, we were handed the menu when we entered the stylish restaurant. Then we were ignored for a good ten minutes while the waitress cleared and wiped tables in the outdoor area and the gentleman behind him The counter was also busy elsewhere (on weekdays, no other guests in the interior ...). We then left the restaurant without an order because the children were thirsty and restless ... Families are apparently undesirable as an audience?

Great food! Tasty and optically great! Very pleasant service.

We went there for a birthday brunch and we had an excellent time! The servers did a great job making us feel special, and the food was great. 10/10, would return again!

Wonderful restaurant on the Erba Islands, so not in the city, but the detour is worth it. Great service, bowls and pancakes were super fresh, super tasty, super decorated. The house cafe with a selection of oats / almond / coconut milk was also so good that we took a pack of beans straight away, a good choice at home too. The same applies to this restaurant: better reserve a table in advance.

Perfect service, quick order, served quickly, great vegan offer, different plant-based milk for coffee, everything fresh and very tasty. The young waitress was very courteous, nice and lovable. Very attentive, asked again and again whether everything is okay and a sparkling wine on the house for your birthday. This is exactly how I imagine a nice breakfast that lasted until 1 p.m. because of the feel-good factor and the great service. I would love to do it again next time

I've been to Base Coffee several times and haven't been disappointed once! The food is really tasty, albeit expensive, but if you want to enjoy something nice in smaller portions, I would highly recommend this café! Until now the service has always been friendly. The ambience is beautiful. My personal favorites are the base pizzas.

It was really good. Food was really tasty, maybe a bit expensive for breakfast, but you really get a good portion. Drinks are great and the coffee is really very good. The service also made a very competent impression

Great food! Amazing staff. Won't be the last time I'll be there 😊 And isn't kinda a regular now. The staff is super friendly. And oh my the food is just mouth-watering amazing, delicious. Kinda trying myself through the whole menu now. So far I've been loving everything 😂🙈

Dear Mr. Basecoffee operator, In fact, we were your guests on September 19, 2019. We waited a total of 1.5 hours for our meal during the lunch break. Only the friendliness of one of our employees kept us from leaving your restaurant. The food was very good. Excuse me for the “several years” comment. But the massage of my entry yesterday was a different one. Why you are referring to my evaluation of Zapfhahn is also not clear to me. I stand by my opinion, so I also post with my official profile. I really appreciate Bamberg's gastronomy. There are some good places in all price ranges. You should question yourself critically what happened to us in your restaurant. It was not my intention to address your co-worker unfriendly. Your reaction against it was absolutely inappropriate and please read my sober description of the incident again. Calling the police for 2 cups of coffee and insulting the guest, followed by a bird sign, is definitely not a figurehead for a café. From my point of view, it was more than fair to pay for our drinks and leave after this action. **** I have known the café for several years and now, as residents of Erba Island, we have decided to have breakfast here to celebrate a great life event. We made a reservation by phone in advance and were there on time. Since the café was full, we decided to order everything right away, prosecco, water, coffee and food. The drinks came after 10 minutes, breakfast after another 35-40 minutes. When I asked if we could get a hot coffee for breakfast because the coffee we didn't drink has gotten cold and of course we wanted it for breakfast, the waitress literally freaked out. She said that "such games are not going on with her" and ran away after her outburst and then ignored us. To sort out the situation, I went up to her and asked if the manager was there. She continued to be very quick-tempered, and when I said we'd pay for our drinks and leave, she wanted to call the police. After reaching the manager by phone, she said "her husband would be more understanding for us". The lady was by no means quiet, but insulted me personally, gestured wildly and showed me a bird! After several requests on my part to settle the discussion, the lady simply carried on. The entire story took place in front of all visitors. We paid for our drinks and left. The service is criticized again and again in the comments. Base coffee employees are obviously at their limit and overwhelmed. Certainly it would make sense to either hire more staff at peak times or simply hire professional specialists. A toast with an egg shouldn't take 45 minutes. Even if a friendly hint would be appropriate. In a café in this price segment, one expects professional staff. I cannot rate the quality of the food with this entry. Our Prosecco was served in a white wine glass and was no longer carbonated. Just sad and we wanted to celebrate here.

Very nice café in the great new settlement on Erba Island. Very friendly service and delicious coffee. I will definitely come back, then I have to try the food. It sounded delicious on the menu.

Despite the half-empty restaurant, the scrambled eggs took 20 minutes and the bill 10 minutes. Plate was chipped in three places and a bit dirty on the side. The eggs were very good and the staff friendly.

I had to walk for 40 Minutes in order to get to this place since the reviews were so good and I was not disappointed! Friendly service, great coffee and AMAZING 'Death by bacon' pancakes! I have also asked them to substitute a fried egg with a pouched egg instead and they did it without any issues. OK, the poached egg was slightly overcooked but it shall not affect this review overall as everything was so fresh and tasty. Great place 👍

Although nicely arranged, the toasts are not loaded as well as the Instagram pictures suggest. Nothing special in taste. Was there last September, the toasts were well loaded. There wasn't much left today, too bad. The cutlery 🍴 was not clean.

Fantastic place for brunch! Has a "Soho" vibe I miss from the US. Food was delicious and not overly sweet as in the US.

The worst service ever!!! It took 55min to do a fresh juice and more than one hour to get a scramble egg and a toast. The food is good but you cannot wait more than 1 hour to get breakfast

Breakfast here was really great and the location setting couldn't be better as the river Main was just a quick walk across the street. I would give it a 5 star but find the price a bit too much compared to other cafes.
